The students at Live Oak Elementary joined the global movement known as Hour of Code for Computer Science Education Week this week. Students in grades k-5th participated by coding in the blockly format with widely known characters. The younger students helped the Angry Birds navigate a maze to reach the greedy pigs who stole their eggs! The older students explored the magic of ice by making shapes and snowflakes on an ice surface with Frozen's Elsa and Anna. It just goes to show you, that anyone can code! Be sure to check out the Live Oak Website for more coding activities!

Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped Mr. Sosa out this week. I couldn't have done it without you! Be sure to check out our featured story on the district's website!
